I discovered "The Walkmen." This is some good stuff here.

I don;t know a lot about music so I can't describe it all that well, but it's unlike anything I have heard before:

Deep drums, great electric guitar and low key, but powerful rhythms and vocals.

Maybe not everyone's cup of tea--especially you harcore heavy metal heads in here, but it IS ROCK and it is is pretty good stuff.

Ah yes, the Walkmen. That had a brief period of popularity, and fell off quick. I like the one record I have by them, but there is a few upbeat songs, and the rest are lame... Though, I bet the second album is better.

I hear you. It's good music, but you can imagine only enjoying it through a haze of "smoke." I like it though, for background music while making PIES.

Yes, agreed. Good background music!

I think (for me) that their upbeat songs kick ass! So much, that I can't tolerate their slow songs. Which album did you get?
