I've noticed that there has been a surge of activity in the vent server and it seems that at least at one point every day or every other day we hit the maximum number of people. If we could add like 2 or more slots that would be most appreciated. :3

(Though if its too much of a hassle don't worry about it)

Here's the deal with that:
The makers of Ventrilo are JERKS!!! I can't buy a license unless I purchase a minimum of 1,000 slots. Further more, I MUST continuously purchase more slots each month, or my license will be revoked.

1,000 slots costs a lot of money per month. I just can't justify such a huge expense, and my company just can't afford the loss which will take most of a year to rebound from - or even begin to get Ventrilo sales. Especially since the market is flooded with companies selling Ventrilo servers...

Now, here is what I have found as a solution... We can rent a Ventrilo server from another company for a rather cheap monthly price. I found one company offering 50 slots for $12.95 per month. I can foot the bill for the first month, but I CAN NOT continuously foot the bill. SO, if anyone can donate, or a bunch of us can donate as little as $5 each. We could afford a few months of the service.

$12.95 per month x 12 months = $155.40 per year.

If we can get some donations in towards this, then I will purchase it. I'll make another post calling all donators to help us out on this one. My expenses right now are EPIC. I fork out over $300 a month on the server at the moment, and I spent countless hours developing and putting together new toys for the community. We have multiple game servers, a HUGE ASS site, Streaming Radio, Ventrilo, Email Accounts, and all sorts of requests. The upkeep alone on all of this stuff requires that I spend quite a few hours a day on it all, and I am constantly behind. Check my Steam status and see the last time I got a chance to play a game!!!

So, with all of that said, I can't upgrade the Ventrilo license without donations to help pay for it.
We'll see what happens.

Dude heres a (kinda) solution a lot of people are goin afk in the vent so why not just havae any afk person be auto-kicked from the vent server.

Yes, I agree. It's "kind of" a solution. But it's Tzombie Jesus who is AFK (at the moment). Do I boot the DJ as this is his form of coummication to the listeners? What I am seeing is that the radio station is populating the Ventrilo, and both are working hand in hand, thus growing the community.

We just need more slots to allow for AFK'ers and regulars, and new comers. Imagine there is someone new trying to get in right now... You can't get in, so the new person just gave up. One lost ZC.

There are also a lot of old ZC's starting to return and communicate with me, as this new progress has brought their interest again. So your solution could provide a minute amount of relief for Ventrilo, but nothing that iwll help us grow...

No, this is NOT the same info for the last server. This is ALL NEW info because it is a PAID FOR Ventrilo server on another company's hosting machine. So, the Vent connection info has been updated across the board.

Go check it out! We have all been using it since last night, and it's incredibly good!

EVERYONE WANTING TO USE VENT - if you have used it in the past, remember to update your connection info. The old server will be shut down sometime today, so it will no longer respond.
